COASTAL ORANGE COUNTY · HOME + COMMERCIAL EV CHARGING

Charging that fits the property and the driver.

Plan the charger location, electrical supply, and cable route together. SteelWing installs home and commercial EV charging, including dedicated circuits and the electrical upgrades the agreed installation requires.

DECISIONS THAT SHAPE THE WORK

Choose the location with the electrical plan.

A useful charging location must also have a workable supply and installation route. Resolve those together before treating a charger purchase as the whole project.

01

Parking and equipment

Identify the normal parking position, vehicle inlet location, and a practical cable reach. Share the charger model and installation information if selected. If equipment has not been chosen, describe the intended use so the electrical scope and equipment choice can be coordinated.

02

Capacity and cable route

Review the existing panel and loads, distance to the proposed charger, and routes through the property. Work may include a dedicated circuit, surface or concealed routing, and associated electrical upgrades. Access and finish restoration should be included in the planning conversation.

03

Shared and future charging

For multiple spaces, discuss how many vehicles may charge at once and whether more chargers are planned. Identify ownership, access, and network or payment requirements separately from electrical installation. Confirm which items SteelWing supplies and which belong to the owner or charging provider.

BEFORE WE TALK

Bring the parking plan.

  • Property city and whether the space is a private home, shared property, or business.
  • Vehicle and charger information, if selected.
  • Proposed parking space and approximate route to the electrical equipment.
  • Number of chargers now, future expansion, and property-management requirements.

DEFINE THE HANDOFF

Confirm the whole charging scope.

Agree who provides the charger, which electrical work is included, and who sets up any account or network features. At handover, review the installation, equipment documentation, and responsibilities for ongoing charger or software support.

EV charger installation: planning questions

Should I buy the charger before discussing installation?

You can bring a selected model, but reviewing the location and electrical requirements first can prevent a mismatch. If you own the charger, share its model and installation documentation when you contact us.

Can you install charging for more than one vehicle?

SteelWing handles home and commercial EV charging. Describe the number of spaces, expected use, and expansion plans so capacity, routing, equipment responsibilities, and installation scope can be assessed together.

Does installation include a charging app or payment system?

That depends on the selected equipment and agreed scope. Network accounts, payment services, and ongoing software support should be assigned explicitly; they are not automatically included in electrical installation work.
